Drama ideas By Geeta Bhandari

My hobby club in school is theatre.  I am not an expert but I highly enjoy teaching it. Here are a few of my ideas.

Recently I started with mime. I have done some mirroring activities for a warm up.
Other things I plan to do:
- tongue twisters (great for voice techniques, rhythm, enunciation)
- improvisation games
- short plays

My class has a mix of bright and  enthusiastic students. I try to involve everyone in the activities as it motivates them and helps them to shed their inhibitions. Also I notice a great improvement in the confidence levels. It’s heart-warming to see their sudden bursts of brilliance.
